Ways to brighten up your mood when having a bad day

Every once in a while we all experience a bad day, yes, even Beyonce does. Instead of masking the truth and keep trying too hard to be happy when we don’t feel like it, we should accept the fact and try to do the best out of that day!

There are small ways which can brighten up your mood and bring a little sunshine into your day. One thing that I love doing no matter my mood, is going on a hike or walk. I put my headphones, which are an essential for me, in order to listen to my feel-good playlist while enjoying the nature and breathing the fresh air. 🖤

Walking is amazing as it boosts endorphins and eases stress, anger and tension in just a few minutes. It’s also a great form for physical activity as it works your body muscles and helps you tone them. It also improves heart health by increasing its heart rate and circulation. Another great thing about walking, especially for me since I really dislike jogging, is that walking burns more fat than jogging. Amazing news! *yasss*

how cute? 😍😍 *heeelp*

Flowers can really help you feel better as they will bring your home a beautiful and fresh touch, beside the fact that they’re really pretty. Candles, especially scented candles, are my favorites! They create a peaceful and cozy atmosphere, something that can make you feel better and calm when having a tough day. I love this one from Shelas in Red Orange. Smells so good! 😍👌

I absolutely love reading. Not because someone is forcing me to or because I need to, but because reading makes me feel calm and happy as it takes me to another world by every word I read. It makes me really excited knowing that most of my friends are on the same page as me, they love reading as well. Things always get easier in a friendship, when there are common interests, especially such a beautiful one like reading.

I believe that in today’s society, activities on the free time such as reading, are even more important and vital. With all the media, new technology, and a complete new lifestyle compared to the older generation, is truly easy to get caught up and forget about values. Reading is power. Reading is knowledge. Reading is so important for both the soul and brain. Unfortunately, people are more interested and satisfied with playing shooting games or spending hours on reading gossip about the breakfast of a celebrity’s husband’s grandson’ daughter’ new born puppy. *what?*

I’m not going to lie, it’s kind of hard to sit down and read when there are so many distractions around us all the time, but man, once I start, I can’t stop. Especially when it’s a really captivating and beautifully written book like, Stolen by Lucy Christopher or The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. 🖤

Everyone knows that I love food (🍝 🍫🎂🥞🍟🥗🍕+ more pizza  ) and lately I’ve been into making smoothies. Not only making them lol, but you know what I mean. There is something about their pretty appearance and how delicious they turn out to be that make me really happy. Today, I made one by using a smoothie mix of different fruits, frozen blueberries, apple juice and a yoghurt. I must say that it did turn out really good and pretty!

It doesn’t necessarily need to be a smoothie, but making or just eating your favorite dessert or meal could bring comfort into your day. Simple things and small details are what really matter, like food and flowers. Those are the ones that make a difference and brighten up our mood when we are feeling low.

What brightens up your mood when you have a bad day?

Thank you for reading! 🖤
