5 tips for starting your day right!

You probably already know that the first minutes after you wake up, are influential minutes. These minutes influence pretty much the rest of the day, therefore having a bit of a mindful routine is a great idea! This way your mind and body are happy from the start and you’ll be starting the day off on the right foot!

Here are 5 tips for habits you might want to consider adding to your morning routine!

5. No snooze

The snooze button is only going to worsen things, even though in the mornings, the thought of pressing that little button is nothing but, sweet. Make sure you get the 8 hours of sleep because when you do, you’re less likely to press the button. Don’t rely on the button and don’t consider it even an option.

4. Water

After 8 hours of sleep (or less!) your body needs to be replenished. Start the day off with a glass of water to get the system going.

3. Breakfast

Yes, breakfast starts your metabolism, as well as fuels your empty tank after sleep. It is also the most important meal of the day, and skipping it may increase hunger throughout the day which usually leads to binge eating.

2. Stretch

Improved circulation, muscle & joint flexibility and stress relief are three benefits of stretching in the morning. Taking even just 5 minutes to do a few stretches exercises will definitely make a difference.

And number 1

Do something you love. Either that’s listening to music or reading a few pages of your current book, doing something you love early in the morning will have a positive impact on your day and overall mood!

Well, these were our 5 tips! If you have any or something to add, leave them in the comments!

Breakfast is really the most important meal of the day to me. It charges me for the whole day ahead and it sets me up! Also, I love making time for reading when I wake up.
